All Lodestar electric chain hoists have a zinc plated chain and a single reeved unit model is available decrease overall weight to make the hoist easier to transport and rig compared to the traditional double reeved unit. Lift

Standard lift comes in 60 feet standard for entertainment options and 10 ft. on the classic. (10 ft. , 15 ft., and 20 ft. standard) Contact us for lifts greater than 20 ft. The adjustable screw limit switch will stop the hook instinctively at a predetermined point when lifting or lowering to prevent overtravel. The rotatable limit switch system is designed for low voltage control only.

Speed

5 to 100 feet per minute on the lodestar entertainment models. The lift wheel engagement is protected by it's zinc plating load chain for corrosion protection. This will allow for smooth operation of the load path because the strong cast aluminum housing features IP66 level protection against hazardous oil, dust and water. A easy access control panel allow efficient operation of the Varistar or variable speed units. On the Classic Lodestar, the lift speed (F.P.M.) options for single speed include 8 FPM, 16 FPM, 32 FPM, and 60 FPM. The two speed or dual speed options include 2.5/8 FPM, 5/16 FPM, 10/32 FPM, and 21/64 FPM. This allows the operator to have a quiet operation with longer life that other electric chain hoists. Not all lift speeds are available for each load capacity.

Load Capacity

The CM Lodestar Electric Chain Hoist comes in 1/8 ton, 1/4 ton, 1/2 ton, 1 ton, 2 ton, and 3 ton options. Up to 3 tons for heavy-duty industrial applications, the 1 ton CM electric chain hoist is the best for lifting. 

Voltage Options

110 Volts available on entertainment models for long cable without voltage drop. 230-3-60 and 460-3-60 Volts standard in classic lodestar models with quick voltage change. Quickly go from low voltage to high voltage by re-positioning receptacle. The easy access control panel prevents improper voltage connections that can cause damage to the hoist and load safety. The finger-safe wiring and plug and play connectors on the electrical control panel allow for quick voltage change from 230 to 460. If damaged, easy access allows for simple fuse installation and terminal strips grant for complete disassembly and improved serviceability during maintenance.

Service Life

The gear box includes precision gars and is lifetime grease-lubricated to ensure long wear life. Reduce downtime with the easy inspection of the clutch that is located outside the gearbox.

The improved chain comes from the 5-pocket lift wheel which improved chain life. The smoother lifting reduced vibration during heavy duty cycles for all tough applications.

Duty Cycle

H-4 duty rated for heavy duty applications. The rotatable limit switch is designed for quick reset of the limit position without over travel on the crane. Lodestar exceeds high duty cycles (H4) requirements for the toughest applications.

Overload Protection

Helps prevent lifting of dangerous overloads that exceed working load limit and improper use. DO NOT use to lift people or loads over people.

Double DC Brake

Lodestar's have two independent acting DC Brakes for redundant braking and long service life. The heavy duty DC brake is regenerative efficiently to avoid heat generation in the power train and positive load control. The brake location allows for quick access and easier inspection of the gear box and precision gears, requiring less maintenance.

Brake assembly kit available for field installation on all Lodestar models. Field installation kit for both Single DC brake and Double DC brake.

Chain Container

Fabric chain container included on all models for up to 20 ft. lift. Metal & stainless steel chain containers Fabric chain bags options designed for extended outdoor life. Store zinc plated chains for longer chain life from the environment.

Direct Control Unit

Featuring a single cable, the direct control unit can be used in a system with single control over multiple units. Direct Control Motor Controllers are compatible with most CM Lodestar electric chain hoists.
